TikTok for Business MCP vs hosted

Get MCP Ads is not TikTok's MCP. We operate a third-party gateway at one URL with a TikTok Ads source of 58 tools, 27 of them writes that preview then confirm. The same URL carries Meta, Google, Pinterest, GA4 and Search Console. Account access is a ticked-account allowlist, checked server-side.

Our TikTok tools are listed on the TikTok Ads MCP Server page and in the source guide. A write without confirm set to true applies nothing. Campaigns created here are always paused. Pricing is which plan includes writes. Official TikTok write behaviour lives on TikTok's help pages, not in our catalogue.

If you want TikTok official, TikTok recommends the flat URL for Claude, around 400 tools at connection. If you want progressive disclosure, use the layer URL, around 40 core tools first. If you want TikTok plus Google, Meta, Pinterest, GA4 and Search Console on one connector, paste mcp.getmcpads.com/mcp. Those are different OAuth grants.

Cross-platform questions still need one context; that is this URL.

Connecting TikTok on Get MCP Ads does not create a token on TikTok official, and the reverse is also true. Advertisers start unticked on this gateway. TikTok official account reach is whatever TikTok documents for that grant. Do not assume the two servers share an allowlist.

A generated or full-surface official list is a valid first-party choice. A curated list next to five other live sources is a valid gateway choice. Worked asks on this gateway include creative fatigue and auction reporting through tiktok_get_insights and tiktok_get_creatives. Pause is tiktok_update_campaign_status, preview then confirm, paid plans only. There is no X Ads. Microsoft Advertising is soon, with no tools. TikTok going live at TikTok does not add those sources here.

Use TikTok official instead when the work is TikTok only and you want the first-party catalogue, including the around 400-tool flat URL, when you do not want a third party in the TikTok token path, or when you need a TikTok surface we have not modelled.
